Meditation 101


What does it mean to meditate?


Well first we have to talk about what meditation is. Meditation means to think deeply or focus one's mind for a period of time, in silence or with the aid of chanting, for religious or spiritual purposes or as a method of relaxation. Meditation is about centering yourself so that you can have better perspective, a healthier body, and healthier mind. Stress is the number one killer of woman through various diseases and mental illnesses. Meditation is one of the factors that can change that.


I don't know how to meditate now what?!


Meditation is almost like praying but without words just thoughts. Some people chant but starting out it maybe easier to try focusing on your inner voice and one single thought. Guided meditation is available for those of us who are new to meditation. There are even music artists who make music centered around this. Learning how to breathe and use your breath to heal yourself is a key point in meditation. Now that you have an idea of how to start; find a nice relaxing quiet place. Once you master meditation, you'll be able to mediate in even the loudest room. But for now... pick a comfy quiet spot so that you don't get distracted.


How often should I meditate and do I need supplies?


As often as you need to! However mornings and nights are ideal. Starting and ending your day with a clear mind. Setting the scene is needed sometimes. So I would encourage essential oils, comfy space, and relaxing clothing.


Can I use cbd when I meditate?


Yes you can! It will calm your mind down significantly by reducing stress and anxiety. Throw some lavender essential oil in and you have a relax session trifecta. Meditation, cbd, and essential oils.
