Taking A Spirit Bath

Spirit baths are very important when you decide to cleanse your aura. I have always loved a bath. As a child, I would soak for hours not even realizing what I was doing. Water is so powerful and a natural energy cleanser. Even simple shower can heal the mind and the body. New Moons and Full Moons are the best time to take spirit baths. But first let's dive deeper into what a spirit bath actually is.

Spirit baths are used to cleanse your aura and align your chakras. Simply put they get rid of negative energy. A simple cleansing bath would be one with Himalayan salt & apple cider vinegar. But for times when you are manifesting or most likely feel your body out of alignment; a spirit bath should include certain herbs and oils. Intention is everything when getting ready for these baths. Consider asking your higher self what is it that you seek or want to release.

You don't have to have a major budget to do a spirit bath. In fact that's the beauty of being from the south; we use what we have! White candles are good for aligning with a pure spirit and/or energy. Honestly, these are my go to candle and you can get them from the Dollar Tree. The next thing I use is Himalayan salt because of the grounding and healing energy that this salt carries. Olive oil was prominent in our ancestors skincare for cleansing and moisturizing the skin. I usually put a few drops of olive oil and my favorite scented vegan oil. Next you consider things such as baking soda and apple cider vinegar to move negative energy. These things help get rid of dead skin and hyperpigmentation when combined with exfoliating. I would only use a cap full of apple cider vinegar and a teaspoon of baking soda. Next, I add lemons and grapefruits. Powerful and cleansing antioxidants. They also help your yoni smell delicious! You limit any bacterias with these ingredients. For herbs, I keep it simple with rosemary and oregano. Oregano helps eliminate toxic substances. It is also anti-viral. Perfect for this season! Rosemary boosts the immune system and helps blood circulation. These herbs also help with memory and intuition. Next I include flower petals as well as cinnamon sticks. Now I know you're like cinnamon sticks!!! but yes they are anti inflammatory and anti microbial. It also stimulates the blood vessels. I add coconut flakes for hydration and exfoliating. My last thing is honey! Healing and moisturizing....need I say more! A tablespoon of honey and I'm done!. If you want add your healing crystals to your bath and massage yourself with them. I used citrine and onyx. Both are good for protection and good health.

Pray over bath and say your intentions. Soak for 30 mins or more! While bathing I listen to music and do breath work. Make sure that you drain your bath with you in the water. Don't get out until it all gone. Then happy cleaning!!! I usually take a shower afterwards because you have stuff all over but your skin will feel amazing. I shower and exfoliate with our coffee scrub.

You can add things as it moves you to your bath. Just make sure you research and test for your skin type. CBD is a nice additive to this bath! Whether you go the traditional route or not; spirit baths should be in your monthly routine. Just like we clean our homes....we have to clean our body and mind.
