Keeping your skincare routine in check is a big deal when the seasons start to change. Let's keep it real the most you can do is prepare. I say this because good skin is a process. The great thing is good preparation isn't hard to come by. There are so many options to choose from so let's narrow it down to most important things that you should have in your arsenal.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is one of my favorites! I say this because you can dry any pimple out super quick! One dab with a Q-tip after a proper cleansing will set you straight.
Tea tree oil is a popular choice for treating acne because of its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It's thought to calm redness, swelling, and inflammation. It may even help to prevent and reduce acne scars, leaving you with smooth, clear skin. Click the picture to see even more details about nature's favorite essential oil.
Honey & Turmeric
Honey is a healer. When added to your favorite cleanser it can help heal imperfections over time. Raw honey helps balance the bacteria on your skin, which makes it a great product to use for acne. Manuka honey has been studied as an anti-acne product and found to be significantly more effective than other popular products. Honey speeds up your skin cells' healing processes. CBD Infused Facial Oil
You can infuse your cbd healing into your daily facial care. Cbd has powerful antioxidants, improves sleep, and has anti-inflammatory agents that can help treat conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, as well as reduce acne. You can count on additives like jojoba oil and rose hip oil to keep your moisture in check.
Rosehip oil contains vitamin A (also found in retinol, the holy grail of anti-aging products), E, C, and omega fatty acids 3,6, and 9, which promote skin cell turnover, skin elasticity, and improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
Jojoba Oil has anti-inflammatory properties which help to tame chaffing and chapping, reduce redness caused by drying, ease the effects of eczema and rosacea, and keep skin calm and comfortable. The Vitamin E and B-complex vitamins in the Jojoba Oil help in skin repair and damage control.
Coffee Scrub
Anything exfoliating is always good for the skin. Imagine allowing your freshest skin to shine through everyday because you never missed your gentle scrub. So if any scrub will do why mention coffee? Coffee is reduces cellulite, dark spots, promotes Vitamin B3 for skin cancer, acne treatment, and it reduces inflammation. Sounds like a good deal to me!
Facial Cleansing Brush
Sometimes a cloth just won't do. You need that extra tool to cleanse your face deeply. These days cleansing brushes come in all shapes and sizes. You can purchase them with all the bells and whistles or just a simple brush with a interchangeable brush. A good rule of thumb is to replace the heads regularly to avoid bacteria and excess buildup. Sanitize them everyday!
Now that we've covered the basics; implement a plan. A daily plan for your skin will keep you in the game. Reducing the chance that you might relapse due to forgetting a step or a product. Our plan includes a serum a light oil is good as well. Take each step as it applies to you and adjust as needed! You got this. We're all on this journey together.
